Ian Spooner - Director
Ian Spent a number of year teaching in primary schools before moving to All Saints Catholic High School working as a School Sport Coordinator. Then undertaking the Partnership Development Manager role for Points School Sports Partnership (SSP). When the government decided to remove the funding for the SSPs across the country, he embarked on the formation of Points Learning Network with colleague Helen Stevens.

Helen Stevens – Director
Previously Head of PE at Westfield School in Sheffield and then the School Sports Coordinator for Points SSP, Helen formed Points Learning Network with Ian Spooner in March 2011, in response to the government’s dismantling of the SSPs.
She now works with schools across the network to support them with their development of PE, School Sport and Physical Activity.​

Andy Staley - Project Coordinator and Sports Development Coach
Andy Staley is an experienced and well-respected sports coach who has been with Points since 2006. Alongside being the School Games Organsier for the Westfield School Games Hub, he currently works in a number of our partner primary schools supporting the delivery of PE and Sport lessons and activities. He is also in charge of running the highly successful Points Learning Network Games at the EIS each year which attracts over 2000 children and their teachers! Away from the Points and the SGO role, he is also a Coach Educator for the England Cricket Board, the Yorkshire Under 15's Girls Manager/ Coach and a First Aid trainer.

Richard Mills - Sports Development Coach
Richard is a highly experienced sports coach who has a strong background in racket sports, in particular badminton. He currently works in a variety of partner primary schools working alongside teachers to develop their subject knowledge in PE and Sport.

Neil Francis - Secondary School PE Teacher
Neil is an experienced secondary specialist who is based at Westfield School in Sheffield. One day a week he works on behalf of Points LN to provide the Westfield Cluster with a range of festivals, events and competitions. Over the last few years he has made this role his own and continues to develop the events to an extremely high standard. The KS1 Christmas multi-skills festival is a firm favourite with our schools!

Anne Ashmore - Project Coordinator
A highly experienced secondary PE specialist of over 30 years and former assistant head at Westfield School, Anne has a wealth of experience when it comes to working with children. Not only is Anne greatly experienced, but her capacity to be able to work with a range of people and situations, makes her an invaluable part of the team. She works in partner primary schools supporting the skill development of staff within these schools.
